Friday, Did most of the weekends scheduled yardwork

Saturday - Picking up a U-Haul trailer (hopefully it won't be adventerous as Andyzee's U-Haul experience recently ;) ) And then heading to my parent's townhouse to pick up their pool table which became a recent victim of their planned housing square footage downsizing - I might stop at Foxwoods on the way since the U-Haul Place is about 3 miles down the road. Get the table pieces back to my hosue and unloaded and then i'll take the family down to Mystic Seaport for a little while aftre I drop the trailer off. Probably have a few beers and watch the US Open in the evening.

Sunday - Father's day family cookout at my place with my Dad (Mom's off in Italy on a tour with some of her 40th college reunion friends right now), my brother and his family and my crew. Definately watching both the final round of the US Open and the Celtics?lakers game Sunday night

Did some early gardening before the heat comes, wife's still sick and I'm gonna continue recovering by avoiding crowds. Prolly hit the deck, chill in the tub which I keep at 80 degrees and marinate a leg o lamb for the grill tonite. Maybe watch some US Open.

Sunday: Bathe the dogs, relax.

Off to Shea tonight to see if Pedro and the Mets can make it two in a row against Texas. Gonna have what is probably the best burger in NYC before the game at Donavan's Pub in Woodside, Queens. :)

just finished hanging the last of the speakers on a install
tomorrow i have to do the TONY's viewing/afterparty for the play "in the heights" which is up for 5 tonys i think. the sound designer was featured in the same issue of a industry mag that i was. cool coincidence. if they win there will be like a 1000 to 1500 people there which means i won't be getting to sleep till at least 5am.

Our favorite new dance club:

http://www.twistbarpa.com/

It's alternative (which mean gay in Wilkes-Barre), but they have the best music in NEPA and my wife and I drink for free because they try to attract 'breeders'.

well any club that states state of the art digital sound system scares me. there no equipment list for lighting or sound which is not a good sign. its cool you have a venue that plays house but it seems there more fluff than substance. i have an alternative club in city where we are currently doing an install and the people that work/play there have no respect for equipment. they all think they are engineer/system designer. the back of the amp rack looks like a plate spaghetti and it was installed by a car audio installer. thank god we are redoing it next week. messy cabling drives me nuts. our racks look like a work of art.

We moved from outside Trenton when my almost 8 yr old was born and left the greatest clubs in the world...I met my wife at City Gardens and our first date was the next night at Zadar's in New Hope....NYC clubs had better lights/sound, but Philly clubs had less dangerous people. Bang into the wrong person in Philly and you're in a fight---bang into the wrong person at China Club or Limelight and you get stabbed.

Clubs in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre are pretty pathetic...emphasis around here is def toward the bowling side of nightlife, so it was cool to find good music. They don't play Front242 and the "drink girls" are dudes in underpants, but they seem to have a good group of DJ's.

the days of limelight. i used to have fun playing there. never liked china club. i don't do the big clubs anymore. i like the smaller lounges, 200 people and under. i am actually going to do a night at one of the places we are finishing. its a great cross between a lounge and a bar, plus its got a rocking little "mini system" and a booth that i designed to be comfertable to play in for a few hours. i love the fact that i don't have to lug case of records anymore just a laptop or a hardrive if a friend is already playing.

Mostly a pretty relaxing weekend here. Watched "The Mist" last night. Will probably finish "The Golden Compass" with the kids today and likely another movie tonight (a couple more to choose from).

I was supposed to go to the Litchfield Bug In (VW show) today but it is way too wet to drag kids around fairgrounds looking at cars. :(

Tomorrow is my little girl's 3rd birthday so it's sort of like an extension of the weekend for me... we'll be doing something special to celebrate.
