moon landing. The significance of the picture however is the fact that the lunar module is in the picture. The skeptics on if we went to the moon, would question how was the picture taken?

Correct. Who is the one?
Umm, the one who took the picture! Taken from the command module, I assume, if you believe we really went there. My Dad work at Singer Link, they built the flight simulators for the Apollo program, when Neil Armstrong was asked what it was like going to the Moon, he said, "It was just like the simulation". If you saw the movie Apollo 13, there were scenes where they were using the simulator to work out the procedures to try to get the astronauts back to Earth, the simulator was invaluable. It must have been an interesting career for my Dad. When he started working there Link was building the "Blue Box" simulators which used bellows to make the thing pitch and yaw, Link was an organ builder. The last two projects my Dad worked on were the simulators for the F117, and B2 bomber, quite a change over 45 years!

Fred Haise. He went back on 13, but obviously didn't get to land then, either. So, in a way, he'll always be excluded from the mass of humanity.
Not necessarily a bad distinction, really...

Nope. Haise was only on 13. He was back up for 8 and 11.
