I gotta go with December. Ski areas start kicking it into high gear, the first big storms of the season arrive, and Christmas.
2nd is October. I love the nice crisp mornings which are welcome after the hot summer. Nothing like waking up in the 30s, warming to the upper 50s, and then dropping back down for some nice frost (although it sucks scraping it).
