I wouldn't bother with giving them to the lifty because most don't care and/or are probably more likely to keep them for themselves.
I voted to give them to the liftie because I thought that they would make it to the Lost and Found at some point...

Based on what you said, though, I'd get them to Lost and Found.

Maybe I'm just too cynical. Many, I'm sure, would actually get them to lost and found if they weren't spotted by their appropriate owner (or someone claiming to be) first.

Being the misplacer of many things (Hats, Goggles, Wallet the list goes on and on) Im a big faan of returning them to lost and found, because what comes around goes around, It's Skiing Karma.

I lost my goggles to have them show up at L&F, my keys found their way to L&F and as I look back to my youthfull past all starry eyed and sentimental I had my skiing day made when my wallet was returned to L&F the bonus was it had made its way to L&F with the number and address (before e-mail had proliferated) of the young lady who found it, who was living in the city at the time, I guess my liscence picture is not as bad as I had thought...lets just say, she was thanked for her kindness

if i saw a pair of goggles i would prolly remember the spot and leave them there. I would hate for someone to like drop them off the lift or something and have me ride down right after they dropped them and move them soemwhere.. So i would leave them right where they are. Later like 4 or 5 runs i would swing back over and if they were still there i would bring them down to the lodge when its convienient.

I would hang them on the nearest tree and tell the liftie that if anyone is missing goggles they are on a tree on "so and so" trail.

return them to lost and found, but make sure the person running the show isn't too sketchy. I once knew a guy who worked maitnence at a certain mountain who nearly had a ski shop at home with stuff people left behind. somehow seemed very wrong. I suppose he has some not so nice karma coming his way.

When I was 17 and approximately 68% of my budget went to skiing, I left my brand new rear entry (of course) Soloman boots in the the parking lot of Powder Ridge. They were something like $219 on sale.

I went back an hour later nad they were gone. I gave up and depressed that I won't be able to ski the rest of the season. Just for sh!ts and giggles, I went ot lost and found. Someone actually brought them in. I couldn't believe it. (The Z's certainly cultivated a good vibe back then at the Ridge).

You never know what something means to someone, so I'd bring the goggles to L&F.

My original thinking was leave them, especially if they are right under a lift. Someone prolly just dropped them and will pick them up on their run down....that's how I voted, but now I'm thinking I would give them to whoever is running the lift.
