When does Windham usually close?

My brother broke his foot at Thanksgiving, and is currently in PT through mid/early March or so. His wife just bought a ski weekend at Windham at a silent auction of some sort, so now he's wondering when would be the best time to use it, factoring in his foot.

I suggested he go late March/early April, to maximize foot healing and minimize brutally cold/icy conditions, which leads to the question, when does Windham typically close? Would they be open in early April even?

It's also worth remembering Windham isn't a long drive from Hunter, it's only about 20min. So worst case you could go up, use the lodging, and get cheap spring tickets at Hunter or something.

Last year Windham closed 3/31. They had great cover but always seem to close earlier than others. For example Hunter, Belleayre closed 4/14 even Plattekill lasted until 4/13.

ABSOLUTELY.

I remember this well, because people were PISSED. They closed the mountain at the time when it was skiing about the best of the entire season. It was 100% about money, since most people stop skiing long before April 1st. I cant fault them really, it is a business afterall, but honestly the PR hit they took last year might just wind up being > than the money they saved by not being open until April 13. I read more than few "I'll never ski there again" comments.

I was at Hunter today and talked to quite a few people who skied Windham yesterday, Hunter today. No one had very good things to say about Windham. One person said coverage was "sparse". They said Hunter was much better and seemed to prefer the town of Windham, not the skiing.

I skied Windham several years back when my daughter was younger but haven't been back recently.
