SKIS - Last years demo fleet, with bindings, online, usually $250 - $350 for pretty much anything

Bindings (if not on skis) - last year to 3 year old stock, online, usually $90 to $140

Boots - new, but last years models, online, usually $90 to $150 for boots that were very recently $450 or more

I search around on the interwebs for a good deal and try to take advantage of a favorable exchange rate. Purchased my kingpins from Freeze Pro Shop in Scotland for 300 £ (under $400)

If I can't get a steal I'll buy from backcountry since I usually can get some discount from them.

I once scored a $50 pair of Rossignol pants at TJ Maxx - and they lasted 8 or 9 seasons.
