I mean, maybe its because I am just overly excited to ski because of the evil season last year, but it just seems that it is taking forever for resorts to open just the most basic terrain.

I mean, Jay peak got some snow (like the only ones) and yet they don't have anywhere near enough to open the flyer until this weekend.

All the new hampshire resorts have little to no terrain open! They are probably desperately trying to open it up before christmas, just a little over week away!

Do you think this is a slow start? Compared to last year? How about the year before that? ...And the year before that? and that?

(maybe this should go in the weather forum--I don't know--feel free to move it if you want, I will not be offended)

It just part of living in the North east, but I hear from some good weather predictions that snow storms could be next week.:)

This is why I moved from Massachusetts to Colorado, it was making me SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), except in reverse, it was making me depressed seeing temperatures in the 60 in December and no snow, so I moved somewhere cold where there was a lot of skiing. Northeast weather is depressing

Very early season was pretty good. Killington, etc. were open early. Since then, not so much. I'm still waiting to ski.

I'll wait until it's winter before I complain.

And by this time next week, I dont think many people in VT, NH, ME, and DAX are going to be complaining about a lack of snow.
