anybody know how much ragged grooms? Their web site leaves a lot to be desired. I'm looking to make ungroomed tracks in the AM somewhere not too far north but avoid crowds. What about Tenny? Sunapee?

How much snow did Ragged get? I'd go there if I "had" to take a day off tomorrow...

rag claims 6-8". not sufficient to reclaim the woods sadly, but I'd rather not be skiing groomers all day or competing with everyone else who wants a convenient "powder day" lifttopia has a 25 buck ticket.

From my experience Sunday, there's really only three non-glade runs at Ragged that they don't groom. They were hit pretty bad by the rain last week and those trails were showing some wear and bare, so I'd imagine they might even get groomed to preserve some base.

Great option if the woods open though.

Tenney grooms pretty much everything except for Sir William and their glade runs, but they seem to only partially groom some of the runs and leave fairly large swaths on the sides of trails like Hornet to play on.

Is Tenney even opening tomorrow though? They close midweek for the most part.

A good friend of mine used to line in Danbury at the base of ragged (lucky bastid got relocated to Golden CO for work) and we skied there last year during a 16" day. Snowed all day and there wasn't anyone there. The next morning we were thinking that there would be freshies galore, but they groomed all the trails flat...
There was tons of fresh in the woods and if you hiked to spear, which we did that was totally untouched, but the place was definitely massively groomed after the storm

How about Mt Greylock & the Thunderbolt

Skied Greylock today. Snow was nice, mix of boot top to knee deep pow and some wind scoured crust. Overall excellent shape on the Thunderbolt. Many pow turns and well worth the skin up. Check it out sometime. Spring base should be nice and when it corns (maybe this Sat) it should be quite nice. Enjoy!!
