I don't think we have this thread yet this year.

Where do you think you're likely to make your first turns of the season? Whether it's earned turns or lift served.

I'm honestly not sure. I didn't think I'd start with earned turns at Hunter last year, or lift served at Killington, but I did. I'd be happy to have a re-creation of either of those this year, but I'm not all that picky.

I started at Pat's last year of all places.

I'm guessing the River, probably 2nd or 3rd weekend of November

Either when the first skiable snow falls at Jay (hopefully around the 20th of Oct) or when Sunday River or Killington fire up some lifts (hopefully Halloween). Either way, I'm determined to get a day in October this year.

Where ever it snows 6" or more first in New England. Likely candidates are Cannon, Jay, and Stowe. If natural does not come before lifts start turning, probably Sunday River (earned or lift, either way).

Sunday River in Oct with a little luck. Russ our respected weather guy said it will be cold near the end of October and maybe more than just T2 for Oct 31. Terry I did take the 30th off. Five weeks baby,

Don't know yet. It really depends on a lot of things that I can't predict right now.

Needless to say...I won't be getting them soon enough.

Jay Peak of course!

I would like to earn it in mid-October or whenever we get 6-8in+ of snow.
I wouldn't mind hiking under the guns in late October...
I won't mind riding the lifts as soon as Jay opens them!

I won't mind getting my first BC turns in late-november, early december!

Most likely lift-served and probably at Killington or Mount Snow. I'd say equal chance at either.

Looks like it'll be Sugarloaf...as it looks like I'm going back to work next week...I should have a Boyne Pass + powskis....so barring the surprise snowstorm out West...it'll be the Loaf...although if SundayRiver gets things going early, as they often do...will start the season down in Bethel. Guess I should now also keep an eye on Stowe for that early dump they always seem to get as well.
