I like a lot of these, but SR wins just due to where we decided to lay roots at. And now we're upgrading from condo to home, so even more days there as full time winter folks. Have the Indy too, plan to move around on it and will definitely burn both BOM and Saddleback days we have. A swing thru Jay, Burke, Bolton and use our Stowe day we bought in the cards too along with BMNH. Trying to get a magic swing in too, maybe even dart down to BE on that one.

I like the vibe at Sunday River. The layout of the mountain and their snowmaking system and the whovillians that run it. The Sunday River Valley and the unlimited hiking, skiing and outdoor options. The bald peaks and springs, streams and rivers know me by name.
Sunday River Brewery, Suds, The Phoenix (Les Otten), and all of the great eateries. My favorite Irish place in the world is The McDonalds in Rumford. The Barking Dog, yep, they are were from Concord, N.H. (The Hardcore Party Capital of the World).

Sunday River is where it's at...

Taos.

Growing up out east it was Plattekill and MRG for me. I always loved Stowe and it's awesome fall line skiing but the Vail thing is a real bummer.

Mount Snow for me, under an hour and strong snowmaking system.
Runner up Magic for terrain and vibe.
If I was farther North it would be Jay or Stowe.
Honorable mention to Ks long season and exceptionally varied terrain options.

Taos ski valley, New Mexicos’ best resort.
While growing up in the east he skied Platty and Mad River Glen.
He loves Stowe’s fall line skiing but its a shame Fail owns them now.

All good spots on the list. Killington is where we chose. For us it was the best combo of distance, terrain, snowmaking, access road etc etc.

At one point I always thought Sugarloaf is where we would land but especially once we started a family the 2.75ish hour drive to Killington every weekend vs 4+ to sugarloaf became a big deciding factor…. Similar rational to the more northern VT mountains.

I voted. But the real is answer is - the best mountain for me is the one I am at, wherever that might be.

I'm told there is a very unusual pair of bindings mounted on this guy's skis.

I feel like I have multiple answers to this. My favorite ski area by terrain standards is Sugarbush/MRG. By snow quality and glade standards, it's Jay. But if I somehow am ever able to afford a condo I would 100% pick Killington.
