Looking to get atleast 2-3 days more of skiing before its all over till next season...Looking for opinions on Jiminy peak vs. Windham...Both are aprox. the same distance from where I live in CT. Just interested in a day trip. ..My favorites for day trips have been Catamount & Butternut. Thanks

Welcome to the forums Lisa. I've never been to either of those mountains so I can't give an opinion, but I'm sure someone around here can.

Good to see another member from CT.

Jiminy still seems to be going strong with most of the blacks still open. Never been to Windam so I can't comment on the terrain. Both are running with 27 trails. Expect spring conditions regardless. Where in CT are you? Based on your comment that they are equidistant, I'd imagine Western CT...

Both these places are very similar. Both are bigger than Catamount or Butternut so the skiing is better. Windham does have a bit more vert then Jiminy so the runs feel a bit longer. Have fun!!

I was at Jiminy on Saturday. The morning was party good, defiantly spring conditions, how long they last is a factor of the amount of traffic, which is less every weekend. They plan on being open until April 9th, but...

The "Mogal Thing" still had bumps and they were of course very soft.

I have not been to Windam so I can't comment on that.

Whatever you decide, have a good time.

I do not know if you are considering Belleayre, but they had great conditions on saturday and have recieved about 3-4" of new snow since 3/25/06. Not a bare spot on the entire mountain on saturday:-o and lift tickets are now just $30.00 on weekdays and $35.00 on the weekend.

I'm in CT as well. I consider anything south of K-Mart as a day trip.

Just thought I'd point out the fact that there are a few more options....:dunce:
