The Concord Monitor is reporting that White Mountain National Forest officials are sorting through a mountain of letters after thousands of people offered comments on proposed changes to the forest management plan.
Friday was the last day to submit comment on the proposal, which will revise the way the forest is used for the next 15 years. The government's preference would expand the amount of wilderness areas by 34,000 acres and keep logging the forest at current levels….

The article seems to highlight desired ATV use (where none currently exists), more logging for the local economy and more protected wilderness…
I'm glad I'm not involved in making the final decisions. I hope it is not the same people who made decisions on the Big Dig project…
