Trip Report:
Overall probably the best conditions you're gonna see at the face in a typical season short of a huge dump. Conditions were fairly uniform top to bottom.
We arrived around 0830 and were on the gondola by 0900. Ran Excelsior to the summit chair then Upper Skyward etc. back to base. After my last trip out here in March, it is evident they took good notes of where they were missing coverage. They seem to have really built up the top of Skyward to the point where the pitch is not what you would normally expect, so I would guess we will be in good shape for spring if the weather cooperates.
Summit visibility early was hit and miss, you didn't want to dilly dally up top or you would find yourself locked in and hugging the tree line, but it improved through out the day and below LWF had good breaks of sunshine throughout the day as well.
Love the intimidating headwall they made on Upper Northway. Good fun.
Finished the day with a run from LWF to the summit chair via Excelsior than down through Riva, Follies, Paron's, John's, Connector, Victoria>shoot to Lookout Triple
and then to base via Wilmington, Boreen.
Was nice to get back to my favorite mountain, so much so I apologize for only the one pic.
