Contemplating a road trip, whatever trails were blown on should be good.. I'll be back in time to watch the Jets loose......again. Actually looking forward to watching the Lions play on Thanksgiving, first time for everything. Sign of the Apocalypse?

I wonder if they give discounts on their early/late season rates? I get half off the regular rate with my season pass. It would be twenty bucks less than the early season rate. Better yet if I get half off the early season rate. Problem is, I don't have my pass yet. I wonder if they could call my home resort to confirm that I have a pass? If anyone is there Friday. Worth a shot, would pay for my room.

Does Whiteface give 1/2 off for all season passes from other resorts?

I have a feeling they don't, could be wrong. My season pass is at Greek Peak in central NY. I used to get a similar discount at Gore. For some reason I now only get $10 off there. I've been to Gore many more times than WF, it adds 120 miles to my trip to go to WF over Gore. Now WF is a much more tempting option. $39 for 3,000ft of vertical is a pretty sweet deal. Sucks gas prices are so high now.

Has anyone been to Whiteface the last few days?

Contemplating going up next weekend for some skiing and the Freestyle competition being held at night, but the "loose granular" and "frozen granular" (usually means "ice") conditions report has me a bit scared.

They're at 55/85, so with another five days of cold temps maybe they could juice that to 65/85 or 70/85 by next week, but I'm wondering if it's a skating rink up there or not?

I think you'll get better response by posting a new thread than re-activating a 2 months old one.

For one thing, the old title will only attract people who hadn't been there and looking to go. Not people who had been to give you an answer.

I think you're probably right, I just hate creating a thread that's mostly self-serving, even if that kind of thread is created all-the-time. lol.

Maybe I'll give it until tomorrow afternoon before initiating one of those if I dont get an answer.

Last time I skied GORE I could ski Whiteface on the GORE multiday ticket. Does anyone know if that still works.

I believe it does too, my son and I went to WF last March, the lifts were on wind hold so we drove down to Gore and used our WF lift tickets.
