I would think the mountain you buy from may get a bit more credit.
They do scan so they may may adjust accordingly.
I just think the River is by far the best Run ASC resort. They also still have a message board and have more interaction with the patrons and are the friendliest. Just my views and reasons.

I started to renew via Snow but decided to get it from Attitash to avoid VT sales tax. I know my address will change so I couldn't have it mailed... I guess my first day out next season will be at 'tash. Or maybe I'll pick it up on the way to the River...:p

Okay. I was thinking Attitash since I'm in that area often all summer, but since they don't do them until the fall I went with Sunday River, as it's also my favorite resort.

Woo-hoo! I've purchased!!!

Bob is right. Sunday River is hard to beat. The original ASC resort. Had everything worked out at the other resorts, they would have all been as great as SR.

Sorry I dont get to enjoy the rush of spending on passes. To answer the question from above the resort that sells the pass get credit for the revenue. However it all goes to ASC in the end anyway.

Not me. After having the pass for 6 years, I did not get one this year for 3 reasons. #1 I started to get tired of the Mtns. #2 I don't want to feel that I have to ski certain mtns., it used to kill me to pay to go somewhere else. #3 I really would not get my moneys worth anymore. I only got in 8 days this year. Not to say in the future I would not get one, but I just need a break.

Points well presented.

Season Pass

I'm skipping it this year. I put it to good use two years ago, but I only used my Bronze Pass for TWO days this season. Bummer! When I had the time, the snow sucked so it wasn't worth the trip. I should have applied the cost toward a THIRD trip out west this season. In any case, I am hoping to be living in Utah by September or October this year. I still think the Bronze pass can be a good deal, but it has to actually snow and not rain/thaw, to make the trips from LI worthwhile.

This is the first year ASC has tacked on Vermont State sales tax. I'll likely buy ours using the link on the Attitash site rather than the KMart site.

I haven't renewed yet, but am planning. Being a teacher, I have to get the Gold because I'm usually skiing on peak weeks.

Unless you pay in person at the lodge in New Hampshire, it is likely they're going to nail you for the sales tax because ASC has businesses in VT and you, having a VT zip, will trigger them to get you if you order online.

Still, that is what, $650? To have all access to those resorts ALL of the time is reasonable. Put into perspective, a similar pass for Okemo/Sunapee is running $1100 or so if you buy now. Stowe is around $1200 I think. Sugarbush, keeping up with the Joneses, is at $1100 or so. I think this is a good deal.

I couldn't agree with you more, TB. It's a great deal. I even had the pass paid for itself in days before I even hurt myself in January. They even throw in 3 group lessons with the pass. I was able to take a "group" lesson this December that consisted of me and one guy that left early because of a yardsale (he overstated his skill level to the insructors when they were separating the skiiers into lesson groups) Next time I tell the instructor that I want to work on bumps bumps and more bumps. I'm a bit hesitant to do it this year though because of my bum shoulder.

The price is good, but what matters most is the value to you. It can be the best pass in the world, but if you don't or can't use it, there is no value. I'm sure that you will make the right decision as to what to do. We did. If we could, same program next year....Sunapee/Cannon/Gunstock and Burke student passes....with some SNOW please! But I think we might be coming to the darkside due to budget and Ms. Trailboss going back to the adult-world of ski passes.

OOOOOH! Some ASC Turns with Mr and Mrs Trailboss next season huh? I'm looking forward to it. Maybe I'll loan you my Mount Snow Trailmap Goggle Wipe if you decide to head that far south ;) What an impulse buy that one was!
