Looks like we had the same idea. I'm confused about the VT sales tax. I thought a sales tax could only be applied to a tangible item and not a "service" such as a season pass.
Funny but I was going to renew with Killington but the guy there told me that I'd probably be better off getting it at Sugarloaf or Sunday River to avoid the VT sales tax. Guess the sales tax applies to goods and services.

By the way, ASC is really hard selling this thing. You know those trucks with billboards on the back that drive around town (billboards on trucks)? Saw one of those driving around Boston last week with an All-for-One billboard on the back. I wonder how all this hard sell and pressure selling is doing in getting people to sign up?

I live in Maine with a 5% sales tax, and didn't get charged tax on my passes at Sunday River.

The sales tax must be only for goods in Maine.....Who knows. I'm just hoping that there isn't an ASC "Mishap" with my pass's "Renewable Extras" because I renewed it through a different mountain. They did have me put my current pass number on the internet check out. I'm really looking forward to using those 4 day tickets at 50% off for my wife.

Just glad I have mine and its paid for. I really wonder how much it goes up, and how long it will be offered? Does not really matter to me. I'm in.

VT Sales & Use Tax includes "amusement charges" per this file. Most ski areas include sales tax in the total price to combat that extra price shock, though I recall skiing once in VT before I moved up here and one ski area did not include the tax in the posted price which kinda shocked me when I got the total bill. But with the All for One pass being sold at multiple New England areas, they of course need to add the tax to the base price. Technically, you most likely still owe the state you live in the tax if you buy in NH ;) but I won't tell if you you won't.

My girlfriend and I grabbed our bronze passes last week from attitash. Looking forward to hitting pico this year! They emailed us an option to upload a picture for our pass. Since they have that and our address is on file, will they mail us the passes? If not, can we pick them up at any ASC resort around here?

If you are uncomfortable just buss the pass office an e-mail. I did that at the River. They got right back to me. They will mail them. I think that was an option on the form. Not sure though. I think the mailing gives them option to send you promo's and coupons anyway.
