Yep, I still have a lot of folks to ski with in here. Met quite a few folks at Cannon. Great crew.

I did not even think about the tax. I think out of spite for having to pay weekend rates at Attitash midweek...... I would pay the tax and just not to buy from Attitash. It probably was ASC doing, but my grudge is held. I live in NH anyway.
TB the pass would be a good deal for you. You would be with family at your home mtn during the Black out days anyway. You get the early and late season factor. That may be shrinking, but still a major factor in my pass purchase.

Edit I just checked I was not charged tax for my online SR purchase of the Bronze pass.

Because you are a NH resident making an internet purchase from a company that has a NH presence.

I'm in

My January 1st move to Portland really put the financial clamps on me getting out much this winter. I had a great December back in Vermont in Stowe, then came the rains and here in Maine, things never really recovered. I have had a few nice cruising days at Shawnee Peak, which is only an hours drive and made a few day trips to SR and Sugarloaf. I'm not much these days for driving 2.5 hours for a day trip to the loaf as great of a mountain as it is, but SR is very doable for me on a regular basis and having not skied there in 20 years, I was rather impressed with the terrain. It certainly will never offer me the experiences I had enjoyed over the years at Stowe, Sugarbush, Smuggs and Jay because of the lack of natural, but a very solid ski area none the less with great variety.

I'll be getting a bronze All for One for certain. $365???? you really can't beat that. Six days at SR and the pass pays for itself and the savings begin. The alternative for me would be to buy a pass to Shawnee for a similar price, but the terrain at SR certainly warrants the extra 40 minute drive.

So I'm buying the bronze with a goal in mind for next year of

Sunday River - 10 days
Sugarloaf - 4 days
Attitash - 2 days
Killington - 4 days

That works out to less than $20 per day on the hill which my wallet can certainly afford.

Just sealed the deal on my All for One Bronze. Bought it from Sunday River from my home location of Portland and they didn't add any sales tax. $365 total charge

I'll get one in 2 or 3 years. Even though I'll be able to drive next year, with school and stuff, I'll still be somewhat limited, so I'll stick to Wawa. Once I'm in college, I'll start having fun.

Maybe this has changed but when I was selling ASC season passes at the Bush for 4 years(1997-2001) you had to get your pass at the mountain you bought it from if picking up your pass is required.

The reason being that the ASC resorts do not share season pass databases. If a person bought a pass from the Bush but went to the season pass office at Mt Snow they would have no record of the purchase.

I get mine mailed to me.
I though I remember reading a few people who bought the passes from ASC picked them up at Killington last year, cause the mountain of purchase was not open yet..

It certainly has.
Last year I bought my pass from Attitash online, picked it up at Killington on vet's day.

In fact, they now appear to have a shared photo database, as I renewed this year at Sugarloaf, w/the mailed pass option, and they used a picture taken at Attitash 2 years ago for the spring pass...

Go figure.

This reminds me, I need to go renew the wifeys pass and mine.

Hmm, I've had both a Killington and a Sugarloaf logo pass, I guess this year it will be SR...

I'm still on the fence about re-upping for next season. I've had it for the last two seasons. Last time, I got about 25 days at ASC resorts. This year it will likely finish out at about 18. I still got my money's worth, but I'm not quite sure what my situation will be next season. I'm hoping there will be more BC opportunities and I won;t be LS as much, but if this year is any indication...

Just ordered my Gold Pass. I bought it on Sugarloaf's site to beat the 6% VT sales tax. They'll just use my picture on file and mail it out, I guess.

Just renewed mine last night. Got it from Sugarloaf to avoid the tax and had it mailed. Got my friends to get passes too so I have someone to share the gas bill with (and ski with, of course). If we can get cheap tickets to Sugarbush and get our hands on a Mad Card, we'll be all set for next winter!

We're getting ready to get ours...Mine won't be until the fall though since I am a student. I will be a Burke and ASC man next season. Pico will probably be the main place.

Looks like we had the same idea. I'm confused about the VT sales tax. I thought a sales tax could only be applied to a tangible item and not a "service" such as a season pass.
