Why does your home/favorate mountain rock?

Alright, it seems like lately everyone has been taking a strong stand on why their home/favorate mountain is the best, but the thing is that everyone just says the same thing over and over, and frankly no one really cares, but hey I and everyone else still does it anyway. So this thread is made to post pictures from that mountain. You don't say anything about why it is great, you just post pictures. Pictures you took or a friend took when you were there would be the best. Every ski area website has some great shots and most people have already seen them, so don't post those. They can be as old as you want. I'm expecting some epic Sugarbush pictures people.

You cannot say anything about your home mountain!!!

Well, I don't need pics to describe why my home mountain rocks. It has great terrain geared for upper skiers and riders. It has great views and no crowds. Old New England terrain rules the day. Usually there is snow. I know a lot of folks there and know the mountain. It's home for me.

Wildcat looks tastey. Wow! I always look over at it when I'm at Tux but that time of year it's always on its last legs and, besides, when I'm at Tux I've got other things goin' on. I've gotta make an excuse to go over there sometime. Nice shots!

Thats because you know it is crap. It is a worthless mountain where it never snows. Has a junky old slow lift that goes to the summit. Has a pathetically small vertical for a northern New England mountain. And has a bunch of terrible glades that never fill in. Steve for example has figured out these facts and that is why he got a Jay pass even though Burke is 3 times closer.

EXACTLY.

And all that bad terrain broke my camera lens.

My home mountain rocks, but only when I'm there. Otherwise, it's whatever mountain I'm at. Really, my favorite mountain is whichever one I'm skiing on at the time. Since I'm sitting at my desk right now, I have no favorites.

OK, in all fairness, we need to get this back to Austin's original concept. I will admit that I misread his leading post  so here are some pics of why my home area rocks:

Sunday River is my "Home" mountain.. I love it because it's my first .. although I learned at Mt. Abram .. Sunday River was my first "BIG" mountain experience and it's been good to me. I know my way around, know a lot of people, know the names of all the trails, where to go at what time of the day ..etc. It's like an old friend..

ehm. burke recipricol mid-week. burke does have better views, a better lay out, better cruising, better intermediate natural snow trails, and on average harder tree trails for what it is worth. the only reason i got the jay over the burke was powder dependability and tree reliability. the side country doesn't hurt, not that burke is lacking, but not quite on par.

You don't get it do you? I don't care. Post pictures.

Nice pictures Trailboss. Those cruisers look awesome. If I'm going to ski groomers I want them to be windy, follow the fall line, and have nobody on them, Burke looks perfect for that. Though we such as slow chair lapping groomers at high speed must kind of stink.

Then why don't you post some cannon posts then, punk. Or have you now deserted Cannon. If so then post some Jay pictures. I really didn't think I would have to force pictures out of people like this...

Actually posts pictures from Jay and Cannon. I could search your website for the best but that would require effort, so no.

I'll leave the epic pix for Sugarbush for someone else (or another time) and just give a few pix of people skiing Sugarbush.

What means this..."Rocks"?

Rocks? Like Rock skis suggested?
1_t100_0461.jpg

Or rock skis required?
2_t100_0464.jpg

Or like CastleRock?

3_t100_0364c.jpg

Or like CastleRock?

4_t100_0376c.jpg

Or like CastleRock?

5_t100_0378.jpg

Or like, "If she finds this she'll hit me with a rock"?

6_t100_0486.jpg

Or someone needing to be hit with a rock?
7_t100_0480.jpg

Or someone who might have been hit with a rock?

8_t100_0482.jpg

But one thing's for sure.

Nobody has any fun at Sugarbush!
