Trip Report:

I hooked up with a buddy and his daughter today for a day on the slopes of beautiful Wildcat Mountain. I don't normally ski saturdays at resorts because I dont care for crowds so I insisted we leave early to get some runs in before the crowds showed up.
We got our first chair about 8:25 and conditons looked good. Temps at the base were in the mid teens while the summit was around ten with not much wind. The snow was nice and squeeky underfoot. Cover was excellent on most trails. The only exception too good cover were some of the natural trails particularly Starr Line, Top Cat, and Lift Lion.
Run of the day for me was Wildcat T2B. The snow in the middle of the trail was holding up better than the most of the other mountain. Lower Wildcat did have some large areas of scratch going on in the middle.
All in all it was an excellent day. I diddn't ski the Brook but I did peek in and it looked pretty good and I did see some tracks.
I will say I'm not impressed with the young lady working the grill this mornig. Even though her job is working a grill apparently it's a HUGE inconvenience to to want something from that grill as it was expressed to me with a head shake and eye roll complimented by a huff and puff with a shoulder shrug and then rudly asking the next person "what do YOU want?". That just ticked me off. Female dog.
Anyway, good day with good friends with good weather and good conditions and the crowds were never really too bad.

There are two types of workers in this world: One who wants to do the right thing for the company and please the customer, the other one who wants to know what's the least amount I have to do to make you go away." clearly you got the latter.

have you been to Wildcat this year before yesterday? How is it holding up all around? Any improvements to speak of?

Wildcat T2B was the run of the day yesterday as you mentioned and today as well. Wildcat Pitch seemed to have blown in with some nice soft snow -- skied great. Today was pretty cold and windy on the chair. OK once you got moving.
