Wildcat: Quick TR... Something was wrong with the quad so it was running slow all day (but hey it beats hiking so I can't complain!). Woods were bottomless. Last run took liftline top to bottom, epic. Liftlines were longest I have ever seen them at Wildcat; but still 10-15 minute wait max. Tomcat triple was broken down, they didn't get it running till around 2 or so? Great skiing. Got a few pictures, let me know what you think:

I'm sure some of you know where this snowstake is, in recent years the numbers have pretty much disappeared, so that needed to be fixed:

Black Mountain: Sorry no pictures on this one. Black was pretty good today. Lots of untracked to be found. Soft landings to any drops. Losto Glade was run of the day (first time I had skied that) they dropped the ropes at around 930 for the first time this year, got 2nd or third tracks down in, knee to waist deep, absolutely epic... and steep for Black or anywhere for that matter. Under the double up top was good too. Carter Notch glades had some good drop to drops. New trail called Diamond cut, short but good. For $25 for a student all day ticket it can't be beat especially on the day after a powder day. Only say one rope up all day. Super friendly staff; get there if you haven't already.

Was at Wildcat Sat. As reported above, conditions were stellar. The lines were so long that we sent runners in for snacks and never took a break all day.

One lift running half speed, one lift not running, full price ticket....yup, just another typical day at Wildcat. The total lack of uphill capacity kept fresh lines available all day. If they ever figure out how to manage that mountain properly it would become so popular that we'd all hate it. Incompetence has it privileges.

I would have loved to see pictures from Black, possibly my favorite mountain in NH.

Yeah I wish I brought my friends camera, but he was being lazy and didn't want to take it :spin: haha

Next time I'll bring my camera and be sure to get some pics from there, but for the black stoke, here's a picture of me taken by Austin from last season:

Headed to one of the two on Monday. Haven't been to Black in probably 23 years. Where I first learned the craft.

What will it be like this weekend? Is it all frozen now from the thaw? Or, will it be spring slush hopefully?

I was wondering the same thing myself, I wouldn't mind some nice corn but I guess it depends on how warm it gets.
