I know they are doing that in the Laurel Highlands with 7 Springs, Holiday Valley, and Laurel Mountain. SEEMS to be working ok, but Brett is a pretty good GM.

It is. He covers Attitash and Wildcat. At Wildcat, the GM office was right past the bar. I would feel like such an ahole walking past the regulars shooting daggers at me.

It's insanity to not have Lynx open by even Christmas, nevermind January 9th. Lynx is probably a top 5 iconic cruiser in the East. It would be like if Stowe didn't have Nosedive open yet.

If I were the GM, I would quit out of embarrassment. I would not be okay with Vail corporate ordering me to deliver such a shit product.

Unless your long term career goals are to rise up the Vail corporate ladder, I can't see why anyone would want to be a GM of one of their NH properties.

Cat GM is not "on property" 5 days/week..... 2-3 at best.

They were more concered about filling the lot, and not the fact that only 1 lift was running and trail count was at 14%....

That can work IF you have good middle management to run the place when GM is not present.
That is definitely not the case...
They are soooo short handed that Snowmkaers, groomers and more now have to cover 2 places.

It was pretty sweet opening T2B before every other single mountain in the valley too.

There's been a couple of blow outs because the pipes are all beer can thin and running at higher pressure than ever but getting through it.
