I was being polite. Downhill skier has the right of way and I respect that but this dude was clearly trying to block anyone from passing him and when you did he came daringly close to you as to say this is my run. If I was by myself, dude would have been on his butt a couple times but for the sake of not hearing my lady the whole ride home I gave him some room. Next time he wont be so lucky lol

The thought of actually resorting to physical violence while skiing is yet another reason ski areas suck (once the lifts start to turn). Leave the road rage at home, or better yet, just stay at home.

- GS to Super-G carved turns at 45-60mph+, lots of angulation.

.......because, I ski the 2nd fairly often, and am NEVER passed. In fact, I usually have to let the trail clear for about 150-200 yards below me, because otherwise I'll catch and have to pass people within seconds. 60mph = 88 ft/sec.

There is no way I'd be able to look behind me when skiing like that.......

Really smart skiing at 60 MPH at Kmart

indeed... I'll put my hand out to block on that rare occasion that someone is infringing on my line - but only to make sure boards don't contact... But thats it.

Well, I do it as safely a possible. Probably have hit 60+ on a few days this year.

My all time top speed there was probably between 70 and 90 mph.....:daffy:

And that right there is why I need to get back on skis... I can't go nearly as fast as I'd like on my snowboard setup.
