Things work a little differently in our homestead...

True story: I had left work sick one day and headed-home to take care of it. Turns out it was a really bad case of Strep Throat that I had caught from my daughter. My wife called me in the afternoon as she was leaving work wondering how I was doing. I took my temp. (very groggily, I might add, I was getting delusional) the temp was 106. I took it three times to verify it, since I was so damned out of it, it was hard to believe. When I told her, she said "Oh, in that case, I'm heading to my Parent's house. No sense in getting both of us sick." She stayed there until 11pm, then slept in the guest room. Not once did she ever check-in for fear of catching something. In the mean-while, after the call, I dragged myself to the tub, filled it with cold water, and got in. That got the fever to a more manageable 102, and it finally broke the next day, while she was at work.

I get a real kick out of these "Guys need to be babied when they're sick" things.

No, I'm with you. Depends on the kind of sick, though. Colds are okay, Fire-hose ass with a side of Technicolor yawning, not so much...:puke:

yup - Flu is sorta the way to go... Chills etc... but you get to play the victim, and just relax...

Maybe we should have some sorta sick day whereby even if we aren't sick, we get to just relax...

Just throwing out ideas here...

Combine it with Steak and BJ Day and you're definitely on to something.
