I had posted this a few weeks ago but my daughter and I are going to Stowe and Jay Wednesday thru Saturday of this week. Staying at the Golden Eagle Resort in Stowe and CANNOT WAIT!! I think we will ski Jay on Thursday and Stowe on Friday.

Has anyone been up that way in the past few days? Their websites and Snowsource.com still sound good but you never know. Any other insider knowledge we should know??

Thanks,

Marc

Was at Burke on March 4-6th. Great conditions then and all indications are the snow is there. Might have settled/warmed up, but should be good.

If you're staying in Stowe, why not check out the bush?

Jay's got to 1 1/2 hours from Stowe

Yeah, I'd say the Bush has more variety than Jay.

Sugarbush was great this weekend, all the man-made snow trails were covered completely, and the natural snow trails were great, but had a few bare spots here and there. We still have plenty of snowpack, so I wouldn't worry too much about it!:) enjoy!

AND you don't have to stand up all day if you're on the tram...

Also the village at the bush is great...

Is Chez Henrie still open?

I hear ya regarding Sugarbush but I've been there before and never having been to Jay I HAVE to try it out. Snow there should be better than Stowe/Bush I would think.

Thanks for all the replies!

I don't know about that....In the spring, depending on wheteher or not you get a late dump, it's about who can throw more machines at the mountain overnight...

I think the bush has more resources than anyone in NoVT...

Either way....

HAVE A GREAT TRIP

EDIT: Oh, and make sure to file a trip report when you get back...make sure you tell us about getting there and back if you're trying different routes...

Thanks Brett I will do just that. I plan on taking the 84 to 91 to 89 to 100 Route up tomorrow at noon and then the 84 Thruway/Northway to 4 to 22A route back home Saturday morning. I will time both!
