Beginner Skiing out West

From what I'm seeing, reading and hearing from friends out there, there are several areas get ready to roll. Loveland and A Basin of course and Copper sent out a blurb that they were going to start. Its awfully early even for out there, maybe they know something we don't. Nice pocket of cold air over the west.

Not just getting ready to roll but are rolling!

There is a cold front here right now for the next 4-5 days then a brief warm up then another dip in temps for a few days. During that whole time the night time temps will allow for snow making minus a day to two but at AB and LL they may stay cold enough. Great snow making window.

So to answer the original post, best bet would probably be basing in Park City. You've got three mountains (Park City, Deer Valley, the former Canyons). Lots of Texans ski there.
