Diadora Polaris 2 Shoes

BLA.jpg

When the arctic temperatures come knocking at your door, you can rest assured that you're prepared with Diadora's Polaris 2 Shoes. They're built with the same technical features found throughout Diadora's high-end mountain specific range, but they've been beefed up for cold-weather riding protection. Welcome the cold with open arms this season, knowing that your feet are going to remain toasty on the inside with your Polaris 2 Shoes.
Diadora built the Polaris 2 Shoes around its Regular Plus last. This last shape forms precisely to your foot, combining just the right amount of arch support with forefoot and midfoot hold, but provides a slightly larger toe box than the Race Shape last. Additionally, this design lends itself to securing heel retention as well. This comfortable cradle on the foot is achieved using Diadora's Suprell-Tech and Cordura Cage design. Underneath this durable outer layer, Diadora lined the Polaris with a waterproof and breathable Diatex membrane and thermal padding. Now you can truly say goodbye to cold feet when the mercury drops.
Essentially, this construction was designed to not only insulate your feet while riding, but also support pedaling motions with its ultra-stable composition. At the heel cup, Diadora designed the Polaris 2 to perfectly contain the rider's foot in its seat by armoring the delicate Achilles tendon with a two-part composition. For structural rigidity, the pre-molded thermoplastic polyurethane heel cup uses a firm composite around the back, with softer and more flexible plastics along the sides.
The closure system incorporates three separate straps that each performs specific retention functions. Across the forefoot, Diadora added its V-Fit hook-and-loop strap that allows you to easily control the volume over the forefoot. Moving up from that is the dual-ring 'Double Speedlace' strap. This is also a hook-and-loop strap, but you receive two options for customizable midfoot retention. If your feet are narrow and you have a low arch, use the second ring. Do you have wide feet with a high instep? Take the first ring. In either case, you'll be able to get a supportive and comfortable fit that matches your individual foot shape. Finally, a smooth-stretching top strap secures the upper foot and ankle. The combination of these three straps provides you with the ultimate customizable retention and support.
Diadora chose to mate the Polaris 2 upper to its Mountain sole. This nylon and glass composite platform keeps stack height and weight to a minimum, while maintaining a high level of rigidity for a direct transmission of power to the pedals. The outsole features a dual-density polyurethane Duratech tread that's actually been shaped in mimic of crampons. This sole also adopts Diadora's Multiped, to improve stability and facilitate clipping and unclipping from mountain pedals. Ultimately, this combination of shape and materials creates a tread that's durable, and just as importantly, effectively sheds mud, ice, and snow.
The Diadora Polaris 2 Shoes are available in even sizes ranging from 38.0 to 48.0 and in the color Black/silver.
