It's Official, Okemo Just Fired up The Snowguns

I'm up here in Ludlow tonight visiting with my folks and as of 7pm I can hear the snowguns roaring up on the mountain.

Seeing the weather pattern for the next week, why on earth would they fire up the guns today? You either started last week, or you're going to wait to the next cold spell. It don't make no sense.
