This year it will be an equal split between Stowe and Smuggs. Traditionally though, its been Stowe.

Depends on the year for me...
This year will be Smuggs
Last year I had about 30 days each at Stowe and Smuggs
Sugarbush for the 2 seasons before that
Smuggs the year before that

I feel most at home when I'm skiing Jay Peak. I just cant get enough of the place. However due to soaring gas prices Cannon will see most of my time this season. I'm definately not complaining mind you. Cannon/Mittersill is still one of the best damn hills around.

Home Mountain?

If by "home" you mean most skied, I guess the ASC Bronze Pass has me dividing my time between Snow and Killington for two and three day trips. Between times I hit Jiminy, Hunter, and Bellayre depending on "discount" opportunities. The Jiminy "Value Card" and the Hunter "Big Lift" card are great discounts and both mountains are relatively easy day-trips for me when I can't talk someone into sharing a trip up to VT for a couple of days. This retirement business is tough! You don't know how hard it is to get working people to chuck it for a day or two.

Re: Home Mountain

Sugarbush without a doubt. Skied there 25 times last year and hope to get in over 35 times this year.

Also a vote for MRG since its so close to SB and I have a condo in the MRV. That ought to count for at least a half a vote for MRG (if not a whole vote) since I see we've been tallying multiple votes per skier.

Counting SB and MRG as a vote for each is entirely appropriate given their proximity to each other. :D

If other people get to have mulitple mountains... Then I want to be added to Wildcat and Tuckerman Ravine... Both I consider a home mountain away from home...

As a noob in the 80's: Vernon Valley (Mountain Creek)

Getting better before I took lessons: Camelback

After my Forst Trip to Vermont: Blue Mountain

After a lot of Vert under my Wing and lessons, before Kids: Hunta

Countless vert with Kids: Belleayre (Midweek is still Hunta)

Still though you want Local....2 - 2 1/2 hours isn't really local...Since I haven't been back to Blue, I can't really use that...

I gotta say Jack Frost...but it's a tiny Mountain....

Still I ski the 'skills as much as I do there...and I've stayed a week at Smugglers the last 5 years in a row...I love smuggs....

Ah forget it, either just pick one, or make up a new category...."Nomad"
