Well to help out with back on the Snow tracks can say I enjoyed a easy cold day on Sunday at the bush. The groomers were fast and the woods much nicer. Little wind and 2 to -something isn't bad at all. Glad I opted out of Jaypeak as all upper lifts were closed all Sunday.

Sub question. HOW do I upload my pictures it keeps saying too large and resizing each photo and then re-saving then is harsh.

if you use an iphone, on the page where you select the photos there is a little icon that looks like toggle switches at the bottom right. set your image size to medium or large. dont do auto. auto is too big.

ME-only tickets are only sold M-F. That's been the case all year. Pretty odd decision if you ask me, but also not a secret as it has been posted on the lift ticket page of the website all year.
Yes, posted on the lift ticket page but does no good to a) the host who has a pass and never looks at that page and b) the guest who comes once a year and never look at the page until they actually need to order. As you said, it is odd and clearly its a play to bilk people for as much as possible by forcing a combined ticket at premium price. Not user friendly.

Hi VTBoarder, so for A and B, you need to look at the pages all the time. I understand every price point i have between all my passes and discounts. Thats the world we live in. You can go online and see when ellen tickets are on sale and thats amazing. you guys need to do the basic work. The fact that neither of you looked prior in this day and age is on you my friend. Sorry to say. and please meant no disrepect.

Good for you for going to Bolton and not paying. Like Vail, they want you to buy a pass. That’s the business model. It sucks for those that go a couple days a season.

I've found that images need to be less than 2MB in size to upload correctly now.

MJ - I skied yesterday too,… and it was eerily quiet with zero lines. I was with my wife and we only lasted for a handful of runs as it was flipping cold! Good for you getting out there in the brutal cold 🥶

I have a pass...I still look every year as I'm always curious what is going on.

As for b, planning and research is a pre-req no matter where you are going these days.

Sounds like a bunch of us on this forum were out there. We might have been the only ones. I don't think I shared a chair on the lifts with anyone all morning that I skied yesterday.

Had to resize each picture down 60% and resave before posting to photos to under 2mb each picture it seems.

GLADES WERE IN GREAT SHAPE. STARTED THROUGH VERY TIGHT WOODS OFF MIDDLE EARTH (almost too tight) I FOLLOWED A BUSH GUIDE AND 4 (10 YEAR OLDS) APROX. THEN ENJOYED EGANS WOODS, THEN GANGSTA'S GROTTO BACK INTO STIENS WOODS AND ENDED DAY AFTER GOING THROUGH EDENS WOODS.

Damn

Man, this forecast is such a bummer, but all good things must come to an end. This has to have been one of the longest thaw free periods I can ever remember. January and February were absolutely as good as temp wise as you could hope for in New England and Northern VT also got ample natural. Pretty good, but not great elsewhere, but I'll take the consistent cold over big snow then thaw cycles all day

if memory serves me correctly, this winter has been similar to the covid winter of ‘20-‘21. Temps didn’t gonna above freezing from early January until the second week in march.

In terms of snowfall amounts, I'd be curious to see the bar graph. Seems like only a few days over 6 inches or so and alot of consistent lake effect snow. Adds up without noticing as much. No complaints here.

Despite the info that has been shared about Slidebrook, mums the word from management. Last State of the Mountain was 2/14. Keep up the good work!!

So I would suggest for next year you watch a little more carefully and you will find that there are a couple options that are offered early on. My freinds and family have been coming up regularly January and February skiing for like $99 on the TBD ticket. Also there are quad packs for like $110 a day. It sucks for people that don't ski to pay more but that is the nature of the game. For people that ski regularly, it is not that big a deal. We get very cheap skiing across the country and some parts of the world. I have used my pass exstensively over the last 5 years.

SB chair: They have not figured out the issue with Dopylmeyer yet is what I was told. It's something to do with the electronics. It's probably not going to get resolved this year.

I tried with my photos!

It really boggles my mind how difficult it is for some people to just drop something. It really should not be this difficult for adults to follow simple directions.
It was my fault. I will take the blame for stoking the fire. I just reached a breaking point. Nothing more to be said. Sorry.

Re the lack of purchasable Mt Ellen tickets 'day of' last Sunday. This is a diverse group from a southern state. One came early this year. Two others bailed because of new work obligations, leaving the two who are here now. Buying quad packs months in advance is no longer practical for this group. However, the suggestion that they refresh the Sugarbush ticket page every day looking for deals or new caveats and restraints speaks volumes as to what is wrong with Sugarbush, Altera, Vail, etc.

More likely is that they will do more days at MRG (without me which is ok) or Killington, rather than one at MRG and the rest at SB. Bad taste tends to stick around. AFAIK both of those will sell you a ticket without constraints.

As a pass holder, I really don't care what is going on with passes, other than the time of my renewal.

You are missing the point. Both the TBD ticket and the Quad packs were advertised on the website, facebook, instagram and youtube and availible for months earlier this year in the fall all the way up to early January. No refreshing web pages needed. The Mt Ellen day tickets are a thing of the past. The Mt Ellen faithful have been bitching about things for ever and nothing has changed. Time to get with the program or go somewhere else. Those are the only two options for you unfortunately.

BTW - MRG was sold out the last 3 weekends so you would have had an issue there also for a day of ticket.
