Not gonna miss it.
Shuttle works fine.
Re-allocate the dollars.
Hire an electric/controls professional.
If and when, what's the over under on how many years it just sits and rots before being dismantled? Hard to see them spending good money on taking it down and removing the towers instead of just leaving it.

It would make more sense based on the last few years snowfall in March and April to keep it running if Ellen stayed open past the end of March.

I have news for all of you. There are hundreds if not thousands of Republicans skiing Sugarbush every weekend. Whether you like it or not. And there’s nothing any of you can do about it. The only difference is, they have a hell of a lot more class than we saw on display yesterday.
All good. I have many republican friends. And i am good with that. I just asked one question., and you are having a problem with that. Sorry pal. Go Lucy!

Part of our problem is see that most see each other as binary. You're either a D or and R as most see it. It would be nice if we stopped lumping everybody into a category and had conversations with each other, understood people's values as their own and respected them even if the values are different. We're more alike than we are different, despite what the media wants us to believe.

This is one of the biggest reasons I don't discuss politics online. In person I've had many discussions with people from both sides and found lots of common ground.

Yup, respect everyone. I’m just wanting to hear what you think the current administration is doing to help save the environment and the sport we love. I just asked one question. Waiting to hear an answer in regards to the question without it being deflected all over the place.

You guys all have to chill, if you want to argue politics go to reddit.com/r/politics. No one is going to change the others mind online. If you don’t agree with the current administration vote and use your right to free speech and protesting. Thats the great thing about this country…you don’t have to always agree but this isn’t the place for it. Lets bring the topic back to the reason everyone is here…sliding down the hill with one or two sticks

Of course. Just think about what happened. An American Vice President was run out of an American town. Is that something to be proud of? If you think it is, you are the problem.
I’If it were Obama I would be just as horrified. It was a disgrace, a total fucking disgrace what happened. We are all Americans. Sorry if your side lost. Deal with it. This isn’t how we should deal with it. This isn’t being patriotic.

Why would anyone want to do this on a skiing forum? There’s a gazillion places online to do this. Are you so fucked up you only want to ski in a place with politically like minded? If so, seriously, get help.

Unfortunately, that mentality wasn’t on display at Sugarbush this weekend.

I don’t want to talk politics on a ski forum. I don’t want to deal with stupid protests at a ski area. I want to get away and ski with family and friends and not deal with that bullshit. Who wants that? Nobody who is well adjusted. Go to Reddit or Twitter and dive into the snake pit.

You bought your second home in the wrong town. I owned here for a long time. You did not answer my question. What is the government doing to help save skiing and the environment.?

lol what? You want the federal govt to help ‘save skiing’ - is this a real question or trolling?

can we please leave skiing issues to each individual state and local govt

You say that you don't want to talk politics on a ski forum, yet you continue on and on. In just a few last posts people have extended an olive branch, probably more in hopes of keeping this thread going. Please, just stfu!!

After Jan 6 2021 no trump supporter has license to say things like this. And as for "if it were Obama I'd be just as horrified"... Bullshit.

Global warming, which the current administration is doing their hardest to accelerate, is an existential threat to Vermont’s ski industry and the state of Vermont alone is not going to be able to resolve it.
