The Stifel Killington Cup returns to the Green Mountains on Nov. 28 and 29, following a one-year hiatus due to lift construction.

Mikeala and Paula (hopefully no injuries) back in a state that played a significant role in their racing careers, infront of a big, loud crowd, weather permitting on Thanksgiving weekend! Sounds Awesome to me, and not just because my actually birthday is on Thanksgiving this year!

Given Killington nets the biggest event attendance on the ladies circuit, I would say if Copper didn't at least draw half that, likely will be K totally moving forward.

That and K skiers don't want it at K every year. The every other year plan is a perfect compromise.

absolutely. i love skiing killington around thanksgiving and i always avoid race day. the race is good for the sport but i dont care to attend/watch, and will never take a bus from pico to ski at killington.

Why does Killington always seem to have power issues?

Look at how sprawling the place is. Different portions of the hill are fed off of very long circuits, often through the woods. Stuff happens...

Also those “very long circuits” are mostly above ground power lines, rather than buried power lines. That makes them susceptible.

Recent work has been to bury the power lines like when they extended the power to make Superstar Six a top drive.
