Just got back from the orthopedists' office... After several x-rays and a physical examination, it's been decided that I have a mild sprain to my left knee. The knee felt a little loose but he doesn't think it's serious. I'm to continue with ice and ibuprofen but no need to splint/brace, and no physical therapy. He said my knee should be fine in a couple of weeks. I'm not supposed to ski until the pain goes away though. And I was told to take the sled down next time, just to be safe.
So I'm out for the rest of February but it looks like I'll be back in the game next month, and I should be okay for the SB/MRG trip next month. I was told if my knee gets worse or doesn't feel right before the trip, I can go back for a re-exam but otherwise, no need to return. Woohoo!!!!!!
Now that will probably cost $150....
