Just a word of warning if anyone is thinking of heading to Okemo tomorrow. I just received word that it slushed up early there today. With temps expected in the 50s there tomorrow, you may want to arrive earlier rather than later.

Figured someone may benefit from that nugget of info I received.

:D Glad the news was happy news for you guys. :D Not so great for my knee. Hoping to get in some early runs before it gets too heavy. You know, that is if Brian gets home tonight at a reasonable hour so we can in fact go tomorrow...

Work on closing the stance a bit.....way better for heavy snow.

....and stay out of the backseat. :D Thanks for the tip!

Knee is still somewhat weak so I probably won't be able to manage many runs. But it should help strengthen and keep me in the game for my trip next month.

Yup, the "try before you buy" hour starts at 8AM. I can pretty much guarantee I won't be up there that early. Brian's still not home so it's quite possible I'll be making the trip by myself, if at all. :(

But thank you! It feels good to be back out there, even if I'm a bit unsure of myself right now.

You haven't been following the threads well, have you? You have been away. I'm getting a great girls' weekend out in A-Basin next month. That makes up for a winter of ski widowhood. :D

Not to be an Okemo basher, but slow snow is particularly noticable there with their trails which are long but have mild pitches. The water just doesn't seem to drain too well from the corn.
Actually, it wasn't bad for me. The snow at Sundown last weekend was tougher. Slowed me down just enough to instill a bit more confidence. I tried a blue trail, which I wasn't planning on initially given the fact that I'm supposed to be going easy.
