Big difference between these boots in performance and fit. The Rampage is a closer comparison to the VooDoo. The Krypton series is a 98mm shell, the VooDoo is about 102 with a much higher volume fit.

I think he means more as in whichever one fits your foot best. When choosing boots, better to go by how they actually fit than trying to pay the least. Sucks but it's worth the bucks in the end.

I'm with Phil. Those boots are very different in terms of volume. It's not really a comparison worth making because of this.

I have the Pro and think they're great boots. There has to be a half dozen members here who have them. I set mine up as stiff as they can possibly go and think they ski great in the bumps. Haven't tried them in the Superpipe yet  Other members go with softer set ups. It's nice to have the option to customize. If you keep a look out, you can find deals on Pros. I got mine last summer for $375 delivered.

When you say "Whichever one fits you better" are you talking about the wallet? Because there is a big difference in price.

If you want a Krypton, as I mentioned, the Rampage is closer to the in performance and price to the VooDoo.

You knew what you were looking for, the OP does not. Like the vast majority of people looking for boots, he has no idea what boots fit what way (I don't mean that in a demeaning way just trying to be clear and help). He needs someone to work with in a proper fit. He will do better with a proper fit VooDoo or Rampage in the $350 range than an ill (or "out of the box") Pro for about the same money.

I actually rolled the dice on my Pros and got lucky. I had tried on a pair of Rampage's and they were way too soft, but fit pretty good. I asked some questions on here of others who had the Pros and went for it. Fortunately backcountry.com stands behind their equipment and I could have returned them if I didn't like them and only have to pay shipping. Once eastcoastpowderhound fit them for me, they were great.

I would not recommend others going the route I did. i.e. buying boots sight unseen.

But you tried a Rampage and you had a idea of what to expect a Krypton to fit like, the OP has no idea what will work best with his feet and stance.

So i did some research on these two boots and found that the Voodoo is built more for comfort and would be best for All Mountain, Moguls, Park and Pipe, random jumps and cliff hucks all over the mountain, as well as small to stupid sized halfpipes. The Voodoo also has an inverted bottom buckle and Faux fur collars which adds mad style and again comes at you with the comfort.
As i looked into the Krypton Pro it seemed to have a lot more bells and whistles, what with the interchangeable footboards and tongues. The Krypton pro has an extra wide power strap which the voodoo does not. This boot appears to have more adjustments and seems to be built for All Mountain, Moguls, and Ski Ballet.

haven't tried the ballet  Pro is a great bump / all mountain boot.

How much do you weigh? Phil pointed out that the Voodoo is like the Rampage. When I tried on the Rampage I could bend that sucker over to the floor.......soft as a moon boot. I weigh 200.

As others have said, the Pro is very low volume. I have disturbingly narrow feet and ankle and the Pro is the best boot I've ever had. I have mine set up as soft as possible, and by soft understand that's a soft forward flex. All Pros are very stiff laterally regardless of what tongues and foot boards you use. You can also try the Cross is you have a higher volume foot. Many folks here have that model too.

My understanding is that the cross and pro use the same shell, but the pro comes with the lower volume gold liner and a few more options for adjustability (tounges, footboards, etc..). I have pretty wide feet and use the cross, but I needed quite a bit of work done to the boots (thanks again Peter) before they would fit.

My foot is just perfectly normal. size 9.5.
I am going to try on the pro, Voodoo, and il moro (just not with them rasta colors like on the Tanner model)
The real reason i want to try these boots is the dynalink (third) buckle.
I like a soft boot for landings.

Try the Cross too. The silver liner is meant for "normal" feet.

I like the silver liner the best out of the bunch. There are two IL Moros now the rastaT and the regular. teh regular one should be fine. I am not sure why you keep coming back to the Pro, you are comparing apples with oranges. The Regular IL Moro and the Rampage are more of a comparision to the VooDoo.
