(with apologies to "J" from whom my inspiration comes)

I'd like to do some easy hunting during hiking season, but don't want to go to Anchorage right now. I live in the Bronx and would like to get out there to do "something". A little afraid of being in the "wrong place" during hiking season. I've done Elk and Wild-beast and wouldn't mind something similar. I really don't want to drive two hours for two hours of AK47 hunting with my dog Budweiser, but have already been out there and seen lost hikers, nude woods frolickers and hikers in flip flops ......and just read about some "extreme hiker" who "accidentally" got lost in the Mall of NH ....so it make me a little leery about where to go. If anyone has any ideas/suggestions, I'd love to hear it.

I went for a romp on my ATV last Sunday in VT. I took some time to stop and explore an old foundation a few miles from our place. I heard a few gun shots...and realized. "Fawk....It's hunting season....maybe not the best day to be out in the woods..."
