I know this should be in the weather forum, but I think it transcends that specification...look at how with this eastern wind, the other side of the green is getting it for a change. Just talked to a friend who says at least 18 in middlebury and still pounding, in Northfield...5ish and not snowing...West side of the greens is the goods right now...

KMart got a lot of snow out of the storm. Another Opposite Day for the Northern Vermont Killington haters. FWIW, the woods are pretty good now.

Here's what Steve Wright put up on the Jay web site as of 4pm Sunday:
4:00pm update: We picked up 6-9" in the past 24 hours to go along with the 5-9" we received from Thursday night into Saturday morning. Tomorrow looks to be another nice day here at the mountain with temps in the mid 20s at the base and upper teens at the summit with flurries in the air.

Killington got 19" in the last 24 hours.

Nice try, though.

Don't know if you are joking or not, but Killington is reporting more than twice the snow in the last 24 hrs than Jay Peak, just less than double in the last 48 hrs, and several inches more in the past 7 days...

Infact Killington is reporting more snowfall than any other ski area in Vermont in the last 24 hrs, 48 hrs, and the last 7 days.

And it's still snowing.

Like I said.... Northern Vermont Killington haters. The woods have been pretty nice for the last few days. The manmade snow trails were the usual death slide but nobody I know was using them other than coming and going to the trees.

was considering K tomorrow, but have late afternoon work to deal with. The length of the commute kinda kills it.

I will definitely be there this season. been too long

Sounds great but why are they still not 100% open?

geez...doesn't look like killington got half as much snow as the western slopes of the green Mtns....from central VT northward. I'm saying these are the snow totals and I don't live at a ski area, don't have a pass, and don't have to justify my purchases with shilling....

I think opposite day is a good description of yesterday. Left NH around 10:30am, no snow on the roads in MA, snowing and near whiteout conditions on 84 north of Hartford.

On the south side of Jay Peak, we woke up with 14-16in of blower snow.
Jay Peak had about a foot on sunday morning... huge drifts. wind packed in places. Deep blower in other areas.
Jay Village didn't receive much snow... not enough to clean up the cars before heading out...

South side of Jay Peak got the goods on sunday!
