I'm thinking that as a parent, if YOU have to bear hug your kid inside of your wedge to keep him from taking off down the slope before you even start venturing down it, that probably should be a sign that the kid isn't ready for that trail!

And I know from personal experience that the GoPro can make a slope looking flatter than it really is, but that trail looked mighty flat if you ask me.

Sounds more like the classic case of the parent wanting to get the not yet ready kid up to the top since the parent was bored with the beginner slope

I don't think it was that flat. You can see the guy making some turns so probably a steep green trail. What a jacka$$

i showed this to my kids last night.

I was hoping it would show them that skiing too fast is bad but instead they found great humor in it and watched it about 30 times between last night and this morning.

I think they might be sadists.

I look forward to reading their late night drunken post on AZ in 15 years.

Mine thought it was funny too... Although when they saw the yard sale they said "poor kid" and "he's probably not gonna want to ski any more". But they laughed and laughed at the multiple "PIZZZZAAAAA" "DO A PIZZAAAAA!!!"""

I think maybe a leash would have been appropriate here...
