Last year I read in at least one magazine about Monarch Mountain's One Planet One Pass Deal. I think that I saw that snoseek or someone else mentioned it here. $359 gets you all season at Monarch Mountain plus reciprocal deals at 31 resorts, including free skiing at several mountains.

Passes are accepted in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, California, Michigan, Arizona, North Carolina, British Columbia, Germany, Austria, and Spain!

The European Resorts:

The five European ski areas are part of the 5 Berge & Co. resorts: Hochfelln, Kampenwand, Wendelstein and Oberaudorf, Germany and Hochkossen, Austria. Monarch season pass holders will be able to enjoy unlimited skiing at each of these areas throughout the 2012-13 season. Use your pass in Spain at Masella.

BC:

New for 2012-2013 is the exciting addition of British Columbia's Red Mountain Resort! Coupled with the lodging-lift ticket promo at Revelstoke, Monarch pass holders can now travel Canada"s Powder Highway in style.

Colorado:

New Mexico (Taos dropped out I guess)

In New Mexico five areas honor the Monarch Mountain season pass: Angel Fire, Red River, Pajarito, Sipapu and Ski Apache.

Utah and Wyoming:

In Utah, Alta offers Monarch Mountain passholders half-price tickets all season while Grand Targhee, Wyoming offers free skiing/riding to Monarch Mountain season pass holders in conjunction with lodging.

And more:

China Peak, California, Sierra at Tahoe, Arizona Snowbowl, Snowy Range, Wyoming, Indianhead, Michigan, Discovery, Montana, and Cataloochee, North Carolina round out Monarch Mountain's pass partner team for the 2012-13 season.

Maybe this should be in the deals thread, but I know that thread is more geared towards non-pass deals. Is anyone going for this as their ticket to the west?

I wonder if any eastern resorts will follow suit. Now granted a lot of places have reciprocal deals, but I don't know of any that are quite this extensive. This would be a good pass for someone who wants to ski out west every once in a while or who travels a lot for work.

Very cool indeed. If these are the type of offers that are going to become available because of last winter, then the suffering was well worth it! I hope other mountains follow suit.
