Saw this over on Kzone, apparently they are trying to hire people to map out unmarked stashes at resorts all over, then the guy didnt understand why people were getting upset with him! Wonder if they will come over here to try and hire people.

I would have done it for $50 per hour, which I thought was a pretty reasonable rate.

I thought his preferred method of dispute resolution was the Ski-Off.

Just checked out the FatMap stuff. Cool stuff but nothing amazing, I would not trust it to navigate side/back stuff as they advertise. I can see someone getting stranded for a day or two suing them for that claim.

They are going to tell you where to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

Couldn't anybody there come up with a better sounding app name than FATMAP?
Go Daddy should have advised them.

Regardless of name ... they're gonna squander money with Killington idiots?

I actually talked to the guy from fat maps, he wanted me to do a short write up on every named trail from winter park. Told him that already exists on their website.

He never said anything about giving away stashes. This was 3-4 month ago, maybe he changed his business model?

If they offer enough someone will give the goods. This sucks for skiers who know the areas or paid their dues trimming but great for business as they can then up the price of the app if the maps are loaded with stashes. Navigating back/side country for the first time with an app or even GPS is just dumb and asking for trouble. Conditions and situations can change daily.
