I'm off to Stowe this weekend, haven't been there is a long time. Any suggestions on restaurants and après ski?

Expect a bunch of kids in race suits around parts of the mountain this weekend, the Vermont U14 State Alpine Championships are there both days this weekend
Not apres, but treat yourself to lunch at the spruce base lodge. It's pricey, but it's the best on-mountain lunch in ski country imo.
Yes it may be 5 bucks but they still do this.. great when its Fiddlehead. I'm a fan of taking advantage of Stowe's early start time for the quad, getting in a bunch of runs, and then making it to the bar at spruce when they open at 11. A beer and some of their chili then back out for a few more hours before Matterhorn. And while Spruce is kind of pricey, you actually get decent food versus 16 bucks for chicken fingers and fries like some of the VT spots charge.Agreed. The credit card bill doesn't like it, but the stomach does. Great selection and quality. Pro-tip - they usually have very good beer specials at the bar in there too. Most everything will be expensive except they'll have one decent draft for like $4. At least that's always been the case in prior visits. Been a couple years since I've been up there to ski.
If you're looking for some real good food and don't mind a drive you could go down to waitsfield/warren and try either peasant or the common man
Idletime seems to have improved over the previous incarnation of Crop.
