They were working on slide brook today

Report from Ellen contingent is FIS was really nice, not really any lines, and all lifts running except slide brook. Better conditions, less windy, and even sunnier than yesterday with 1-2" more

MRG was excellent, soft snow, bumps, untracked to be had, woods were nice, great coverage, hardly an icy slope to be found. Skied fall line and paradise for the first time which were great fun. They had a freeride competition on the lower lift line which was pretty cool to see and races today as well in the practice slope and they were handing out Cabot cheese in the lift line which was at times long on account of being sold out but nice to have the uncrowded slopes. One of the better days skiing I've had.

Three Peaks is a terrific group of people. Sugarbush is fortunate to have them on board.
They really are. Are you know, this is a separate non-profit operation from Sugarbush we created three years ago when UVM pulled out. It depends upon the philathropy of our community. Sugarbush has graciously provided the space rent free and provides ski passes to the doctors who volunteer their time working at the clinic, but other parts of the operation depend upon charitable donations, so any and all donations are welcome

Saw them working Slidebrook yesterday. Snow was good yesterday, today should be pretty great.
As I understand it they had to order a new PLC from Dopplemayr, It had been working when they finished the summer line work, but something happened to it in between. A PLC is the “brain” of a lift and controls basically everything. Now that it is in the lift can run and, I think all offer functions can be checked and have ready for the Tram Authority to inspect. Having it next week will help a lot in what should be a couple of very busy weeks given the excellent conditions we have now and the future forecast calling for more over the next several days.

On a separate note, I got clipped from behind for the first time ever on my first run on lower organgrinder and was double ejected into the soft powder. The young girl did stop and apologize and retrieved my skis and poles No damage done and nothing some ice and a hot tub can’t take care of later. But I was lucky. Wonderful morning. It was knee deep on my first turns down upper organgrinder which had been groomed early.

Well glad you didn’t get hurt. My game plan was Lixis twice, then moonshine as everyone runs to HG. Worked out perfectly, got 4 epic runs.

Glad to hear you are ok. Good thing there was lots of powder. Here's to another helping of ma nature's sugar towards the end of week (possibly twice) and the possibility of all lifts running. 200 inches and all lifts will certainly help disperse the crowds.

And it is a blackout weekend coming up, hopefully they don't do another buyout to unlock like they did MLK weekend. Conditions are great and forecast looking good. My only feedback is the managing of the lift lines. They were late to manage Bravo's line and there was no one managing HG when I was up there. HG you can figure out but Bravo has to be managed. They got it finally got it under control but there were definitely some f bombs and insults being thrown around which is not part of the experience. Also the corral lanes for VH were only wide enough for two people to stand side by side not 4 which made it hard for groups to stay and load together. It's the details that count.

Heck of a weekend! Got a taste of what ppl have been raving about recently. Saturday at ME, wonderfully non-crowded. Had personal-best runs on Diamond, FIS and Bravo. Early Ups yesterday was the best money I've spent in a long time. Made it to upper Organgrinder early, got mostly untracked turns most of the way down. Elevator which I had been wanting to ski for years was better than I'd imagined. 😋 Very hard to focus on work today😅

Had a blast on Saturday and Sunday. Wasn't as adventurous as most here, but really dug Moonshine, Domino, Eden, Deeper Sleeper, Castlerock Run, and Cotillion.

Flying solo, I rode the lifts with a bunch of strangers...all of whom were having a great time. It's good to see it.

I have to say, there is a TON of snow on Spring Fling, I think the most that I can recall. They should be set up well for the spring- bring back the old triple for some sunny laps!
