They bitch about how they now make no money in the spring. This is why....... What they are telegraphing is that they no longer want to do spring skiing.....
And they used to do $49 tickets for spring skiing and a spring pass.
It's called another example of how business intelligence is not genetic. Specifically, John Cumming and POWDR not having a clue.Maybe you're right, because for the life of me it makes no sense. Forget $49, lets say they charged $60. That's $120 per day (little ones are free)& I'm sure we'd go probably 3 Saturdays since we cant ski on the Back anymore. That's $360, plus we'd probably book a night at their lodging and stay there for fun at least once. We're just one tiny family and I'd guess they're missing out on a minimum of $650 revenue from us. I cant figure it out; if you're going to be open, you may as well make money.
The only way I can see myself being wrong is if a lot of people are still showing up at Snowbird in May paying $184 walk-up rate for very limited terrain, and I just have a really hard time believing that's possible.

I might go up there in a couple days. Were there more runs to ski than just the park? Crest is a lift I usually take to get elsewhere.39. May 12, 2025: Brighton (Meltdown)
Yes. Go skier's right (looker's left). They put a lot of elements out on other runs. They are cool, but I had at least one or two instances of skiers almost hitting me from behind. Honestly, I don't think that having most of the mountain being an "open terrain park" is a good idea.I might go up there in a couple days. Were there more runs to ski than just the park? Crest is a lift I usually take to get elsewhere.
