They bitch about how they now make no money in the spring. This is why....... What they are telegraphing is that they no longer want to do spring skiing.....

And they used to do $49 tickets for spring skiing and a spring pass.

Maybe you're right, because for the life of me it makes no sense. Forget $49, lets say they charged $60. That's $120 per day (little ones are free)& I'm sure we'd go probably 3 Saturdays since we cant ski on the Back anymore. That's $360, plus we'd probably book a night at their lodging and stay there for fun at least once. We're just one tiny family and I'd guess they're missing out on a minimum of $650 revenue from us. I cant figure it out; if you're going to be open, you may as well make money.

The only way I can see myself being wrong is if a lot of people are still showing up at Snowbird in May paying $184 walk-up rate for very limited terrain, and I just have a really hard time believing that's possible.

It's called another example of how business intelligence is not genetic. Specifically, John Cumming and POWDR not having a clue.

Looks like that last day at Black will be it for me this season. Ended on a high note in an otherwise lackluster spring. Even left a bunch of ikon days go to waste at Sugarloaf because of the spring weather. Oh well. 46 is still a pretty damn good number and I had plenty of powder days early and mid season.

Sadly with the weather this weekend it looks like April 15th was it for me. What a weird season. I missed out on the early season snowfalls because I was sick, then when I finally was able to get out we were stuck in groomer hell for a month or so. Then that 6 week period from mid January to late February produced more quality days than I can ever remember. Then since March 1st I've gotten a total of 3 days (which were great spring conditions) but just such a sour ending. Sad I didn't make it to K this spring.

I still have a Big Snow pass burning a hole in my pocket but probably won't bother with that lol. 21 days sucks after being at 18 on Feb 25th.

I might go up there in a couple days. Were there more runs to ski than just the park? Crest is a lift I usually take to get elsewhere.
Yes. Go skier's right (looker's left). They put a lot of elements out on other runs. They are cool, but I had at least one or two instances of skiers almost hitting me from behind. Honestly, I don't think that having most of the mountain being an "open terrain park" is a good idea.
