They did at least have the sense here to announce they're not charging for parking this season in the 1/2-way finished parking garage at Canyons. I was pretty shocked. I mean, it's common sense to not charge customers for something that you know is potentially going to be a cluster*****, but this is Vail we're talking about.

And I was quite happy they listened to the cacophony of locals complaining about the free parking starting at 1pm on the Park City side rather than 12pm, and rolled that back to noon. I'll definitely ski there more often now, so at least they've gotten a few things surprisingly right.

Something tells me this author isnt a huge fan of Vail.

I'll help Rob out with an excellent strategy.

Divest from all NH ski areas.
"Oh Deady Heady you almost got me! Vail does not own any areas in Hampshire, England! I've got to say that it would be EPIC if we did!"

It'll be hilarious if his play is to move to expensive passes and cheaper day tickets.

I wish Vail would pick one or two resorts in the east to be their Keystone and Breck. Not that I'm looking for them to compete with Killington. But it would be nice if say Okemo was slated to open a week or two earlier than the others (weather permitting). Going a week longer with Stowe last year was an unexpected bonus but this year they lumped Stowe right back in with the others.

That will happen as soon as they remember that they own Wildcat
