"Here’s the thing: Katz really used to ski in jeans. "

From the article.
Thx for the kink DC- the comments are always very interesting. Views beyond the AZ here. Lot of the same, but also a lot of folks who make out well at $30-$40 a day average. Thats it- not a great way to get newbies involved or hooked. A 10-20% discount by applying partner passes for the following year is a start.

Will Alterra follow?

2 yrs declining traffic- where they going or is it just sport shrinkage?

Snows been , eh, epic too. ( At least when I've been out )

Last season in Utah was one of the worst years in many years. In fact, until February it was one of the worst in history, then lots of snow that month saved the day. Then it hardly snowed again. All in all, a terrible ski season for Utah, but instructive in that I learned even a horrendous season here felt pretty much like an average Vermont winter.

The season before that was great, tons of boot deep days and continuous no worse than "good" conditions basically all season long.

And the season before that was the best in like 40 years (which of course I missed)
