Always love the anti-tax guys and girls who shit on the teachers salary... nice work asshat. Its definitely the teacher salary that's F'ing the cost of education in VT. You are Nostradamus...

Don't you want educated people teaching your kids? Also VT has a shortage of teachers as well because guess what, THERE'S NOWHERE FOR THEM TO LIVE on the teachers salary!

For the record not a teacher, but this anti-teacher sentiment has always rubbed me the wrong way. Especially now since entitled parents and kids have made the job miserable. Also add in crazy kids shooting up the school to the list. Does your job have to do active shooter drills like schools do now? I bet not...
wife- teacher; sister- teacher; sister #2 - teacher; Mom- school nurse. No one goes into teaching to earn a large paycheck. The cost is the question- the allocation of capital from the taxpaying public is simply atrocious. Admin has grown exponentially, while kids # remain flat and teacher salary growth is less than half admin salary growth, and we ( JQ Public) sit by and let it rip. #1 in world in ed in 60's -70's- now 37th.Its the main expense line item of state government. Just asking the question.

The shooting has a solution no one wants to consider. No one ( crazy or not) goes to a gun fight with a knife.

Meanwhile snow looks good: https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-72.92593982638928&lat=44.16121777062571

Just skied ME this afternoon. No lines (of course). Rim Run was buttah, upper Bravo to Exterm, skier's right side of both- crazy good snow. Upper FIS was firm underneath, but good cover and skier's right was most manageable. North Star has fun rollers on it; same for Which Way but icier than NS. Really nice skiing and the additional snow will make tomorrow a keeper.

Rob, I think your view is the actual problem. I do have teachers in my family and extended family. The story's I hear about shitty little kids with attitudes and their shitty parents. No, being an educators sucks and it is people like you that only making it worse. I think parents should sign waivers allowing teachers to punish the shitty kids. Not violence but detention and expulsion. Also real education should be augmented by a thoughtful government. Just my 2 cents.

Merry Fucking Christmas......LOL

Today was frickin awesome. They got a good 8+ inches, and there was never much of a line. We hiked over to Casterock and it seems ready to go. I bet they open tomorrow of Friday.

What is the over under on Slide Brook running for the weekend, they posted it is inspected a while back, I was on a few of the access roads yesterday, plenty of coverage for snowmobiles for safety.
Understand many on here don’t use it much but it does come in handy after a few figure 8 laps and I’m at North and not in sink for the bus, I can be back at south quicker than waiting for the bus.

Interesting that they went back to Lower Snowball and Racers for more snow-making instead of hitting something new and coming back to them later if they wanted a bit more depth.

Fascinating to think how close they could be to having all snow-making trails covered at this point if they just had even maybe 50% more pumping capacity than they have now (plus an additional adequate water storage capacity of course).

Looks like Super Bravo had a spacing problem. You can see it on the webcam if you go back far enough

Looks like one of the chairs got stuck in the terminal during their pre-opening start-up. Kind of cool to be able to go back on the webcam and see exactly when it happened.

Being able to blow snow that's not 95% water when it's 21F would help, too..

Big fun today. Tracks on Upper Moonshine filled up by next lap, though part of that was b/c VH was running really slow. When did they do away with the carpet load? Seems slower than Summit now... Lower Twist surprisingly good, too.
Skier's left of Upper Birdland was nice, and Jestercross was fantastic.

Short stint to day b/c of family commitments. Tomorrow will be excellent if you dress for the chill, which will be serious.

Just don't look at Monday forecast...
