Wife is at the mountain watching the WPST events today while I'm at work in AK. She said it seems like a well organized and run event from a spectator point of view.

First Indy redemption at Tenney today and first time there in general in at least a decade. I did have a pass there in 2008. It was $99 so I couldn't pass it up.

Very impressed with what they've been able to improve since I had last visited. The lodge / bar renovation is far better than what existed back in the day. The snowmaking was quite impressive too. They legitimately have made more snow than Wildcat.

I bet the snow surface there today was probably better than the vast majority of the state. Low traffic and low angle makes for less boilerplate. Mostly full main parking lot, but no real lines to speak of. Great hideaway option on a Saturday. Looking forward to hopefully making it back when it's full on. It looks like a few more glades were cut than I remember, especially on Hornet side. Unfortunately the ice storm trashed those glades. Tons of branches down.

Lifts are still a slow bummer. But that's what keeps the costs down and the place uncrowded. Probably couldn't do it with the old double now, but a replacement fixed grip should incorporate a mid station around Tower 10.

I skied Tenney today too! I mean it's a whole 500 feet from my door, but only my second day there this season. It wasn't bad. Even the icy areas off the triple didn't seem as treacherous as expected. Halls Meadow (Skiers left of lower Eclipse) was awesome. Not icy at all.

How many runs did they have open with snowmaking?

There were a few different options off the triple and a couple off the top with more ready to be pushed out. Seemed like about 5 miles of terrain covered would be my guess. Back when I had a pass, that was about all they did over the entire season.

Sound nice, cant wait to hit them up this season. i was waiting for me to be disgusted with the onslaught of holiday crowds at BW. But the last 2 Saturdays have been able to get 30 and 35 runs per day Skiing from 8 till 2pm. not sure where the crowd are but..........

Tenney is on the list tho !

Hit Tenney for my first time today. They’ve had 5” in the last two days so things skied well, although lots of thin cover. Very little seemed groomed today, fun skiing. Lodge is cozy, it’s a fine hang. Only thing I’d change is the speed of that summit lift ride. Not a place for vert addicts.

*Can’t post pics on the site these days, dang it. Says everything is too large. Didn’t used to be.

When attaching photos from iPhone/ipad, go under options and you can reduce the file size. I imagine there is something similar for android.

i haven't figured out how to do this on the most recent iOS update from a few weeks ago

1) After selecting photos to upload, click the three dots in lower left corner of screen

2) Click “Options”

3) Change size from “Full Size” to “Large” then press the blue check mark

I believe from my experimenting the file size needs to be under 2MB to upload successfully now.

Switched to a razr over the summer. Love the phone because it fits in t shirt pocket but every picture is around 5 mb. Had to add picture resize app, free and works well.
