MRG was incredible this morning. No lift lines and cold, dry pow.

Alignment bolt broke on tower 2. Sounds like they got it cleared and running after a little bit. Glad I skied Lower liftline and spotted this

So it appears that they will not be having fireworks and Torch light parade this weekend. After they didn't have it for Martin Luther I was wondering about Presidents Day. That's disappointing. I guess I will have to do my own. LOL

That's a bummer. I've only seen it once as I rarely stay at the mountain but it was fun. I suspect that one of the reasons (probably not the primary reason) is there's zero to do before or after the fireworks. There's no bar open and Rumbles would probably be shutting down at that point if not earlier. So why bother gathering people to the mountain for a 30 minute experience.

Curious, when a band plays at the mountain...do they ever play at night? Or is it a happy hour/daytime thing? I'm not talking about back in the day. I'm talking about over the past 1-2 years.

They have music at night from 7 to 10 at the gatehouse pretty much every other weekend. This weekend is the Sunburnt Sharks on Sunday night. so Fireworks would be good just before.

Now if I hear fireworks this weekend I'll know where it is coming from and where to look!

But pretty crappy that 2 holiday weekends that usually have fireworks don't have any this year. They usually have a good turnout for them...
