For anyone looking for outdoor activities for non skiers, highly recommend dogsledding with October Siberians.

Went out with them on Sunday, in Waterbury. Great experience, even with the ultra cold temps.

we've done dogsledding twice. both in colorado. great fun, and they seemed to treat the dogs really well. always a bit of concern about the ethics around these sorts of operations.

Yeh, I'm the same. We went dogsledding in the Crested Butte - Gunnison area as well. Awesome experience and the owner (lady) was super attentive to the care of her team. Both Alaskan and Siberians are bred for the task and love the work.

Rob, the owner of October Siberians here has been doing it a long time and is well regarded by locals we spoke with.

Another stellar powder day. Started great with a 10 min early opening for first chair, along side a friend of the board.

Surprise run of the day was patrol dropping the nets early am on Main St Race and getting a couple of untracked runs with the powder flying!

screen pics from Main St Race... both sides were drifted deep and a ton of fun today. Right side was even deeper.

I guess you can’t please everyone. But a very small percentage.
Trust also when I say that there are some days on the race crew where its snowing too hard to safely train, and the race trail is roped off to the general public, and you get essentially a private powder day trail! Those days make up for the way many more "tough" days over the season! 😉🤣

Umm.....anyone have a link to that map....
I believe in Shared Knowledge and Skills to help build and grow those around you!! Even if some knowledge can be dangerous.
YES and NO and YES and its still a work in progress. I will start by thanking the AUTHOR of this map and all the work he has done over time to build his skills that allow him to share some of his knowledge so hopefully we can become better Boarders and Skiers by safely finding and exploring what is out there. This is as close to a FATMAP replacement there is for some of those hidden GEMS we all look for and try and find.

SO the MAP that will be posted here has had the more dangerous hidden lines removed but you for sure can get yourself hurt or killed following some of these runs and lines so be safe as you can be and do some additional research. Travel as more then one if at all possible and with extra supplies.

backtrackstowe.png

If you want more dangerous then what this map shows I will suggest searching google with the terms Spruce peak backcountry but most of these are one off runs and if you mess up you are cliffed out at death heights. 50ft,100ft,200ft on the spruce peak side of smugglers notch road. I don't recommend those ones at all unless the BACK or BIRTHDAY bowls.

As a back up and to show this map has proof to the Snow lines. Using STRAVA enable HEATMAPS to Yearly and almost all the hidden lines on every mountain I have gone to have popped up!! THIS IS STRAVA WITH HEATLINES SET TO ORANGE on DESKTOP not APP
This shows ANGELFOOD/OZ runs and the harder more advanced 3-OUTER PLANETS off shoots at STOWE from CHINCLIP

That guy should be fined every time some backcountry wannabe gets hurt and ski patrol has to go out and get them. Not a fan of this current look at me internet culture Powder is a finite thing. Why would anyone want to show the masses exactly where it all is
