Tornado at Mohawk Mountain in 1989

I was cleaning out one of my closets the other day and found a newspaper from the day after the devastating tornado struck my beloved home hill, Mohawk Mountain. Here's a few scans of the pictures featured in the local paper from July 12, 1989. :cry:

These pictures only show part of the devastation that occurred, hard to beleive that almost 20 years have past since this dreadful day.

Thanks for the pics WoodCore. That storm also knocked out a lot of the Cathedral Pines, an old growth stand of pines in the area. I took a hike through there a few years ago and tornado damage is still evident. Still impressive though:

Amazing how long you can see the effects of a storm like that.
